Incopro expands into Los Angeles | Business Computing World
Incopro, the online brand protection provider, has today announced the opening of offices in Los Angeles.
The new premises will allow the company to further build its market position in North America and expand its IP protection technology and services into the region.
The expansion follows a $21 million (£18 million) venture capital investment into the business in 2018 from growth investor Highland Europe to help support and expand the company’s technology, customer support and sales teams.
Incopro has successfully delivered brand protection to a growing number of leading North American companies, with current US offices in New York and Idaho along with operations on the West Coast in San Francisco.
The company’s flagship product, Talisman, uses Big Data and Machine Learning to scan the internet for counterfeit products and online brand abuse. The software searches platforms from online marketplaces to social media with each infringement typically identified and removed within 24 hours.
Simon Baggs, CEO and Co-Founder at Incopro, said: “Opening in Los Angeles reflects the strong background that we have in protecting the rights of media and product companies based on the West Coast. Working with the film studios as a lawyer gave me the understanding of online IP infringement that eventually proved the catalyst to co-founding Incopro with Bret Boivin, who left a major Studio to join me in this venture. It is a real milestone to see the company now grow to the point where an office in LA has become a reality.”
